Computer Tips # 61 : What if you want to go through the recycle bin in DOS Prompt?

You probably know that when you delete a file or folder orshortcut in Windows they show up in the trash, and it's very easy to undelete. And bring it back to the house through awindow, but you know it or not. You can access it via a dos.

Go to Dos Prompt , Command Prompt

Change to the Drive you want to access the recycled files, If you deleted files from Drive C , It will go to the recycle bin on Drive C

Type CD \Recycler

Recycled files is in the "Recycled" Directory on Drive C (but this Directory is hidden not show-up on regular DIR command ) to make it visible

Type ATTRIB -r -s -h Recycler

Now you can use this directory to benormal.

Type DIR /A

There are also two special files that you can view it with notepad.

Desktop.ini
