Macworld Expo to showcase mobile applications

IDG World Expo announced Wednesday that Macworld Conference & Expo 2010 will feature a "Mobile Application Showcase."

The event, planned for February 9 - 13, 2010, returns to the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif. It's the annual gathering of Macintosh, iPhone and iPod enthusiasts who come to see exhibitors hawking their latest wares, and attend several days of informative conference sessions on a wide variety of topics -- everything from graphic design and Web development to digital photography and video, enterprise computing, and IT, K-12 and higher education and more.

With the huge upswell in iPhone and iPod Touch application developers, it's no wonder that IDG World Expo -- the coordinators of Macworld Expo, and a sibling business unit to Macworld at International Data Group (IDG) -- has focused on that segment of the market for the 2010 show. The company said the new area will provide "a simple and effective way for these developers to augment their marketing efforts, gain maximum exposure for their innovations and stand out from the competition."
